Engagement & Workshops
WonKy Architecture commissioned Archibeats CIC to lead an engagement programme at the Pepys Community Hub in Deptford. The key objectives of the commission looked to foster meaningful connections with the local community and within the Pepys Estate and giving a voice to young residents in future collaborative design improvements in their neighborhood.
The hope was to empower young residents to actively participate in this initiative, making their input a valuable part of the future proposals to be delivered by Wonky over the coming months.
Over the summer holidays Archibeats CIC delivered a series of workshops titled ‘Voices from the Pepys.’ These workshops were designed to encourage young people to share their views and aspirations for key areas around the Pepys Estate.
The aim was to upskill and empower children and young people from the Pepys community hub, with the hope that they will continue to actively contribute to shaping the spaces identified on the estate through their participation in future co-design opportunities.
